This property originally belonged to my grandparents, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to renovate it and move my family into a home with that history. While the renovation is still in progress, we are on track to move in within the next 30 days — a milestone that reflects significant planning, coordination, and hands-on execution over the past two years.
Led a full-scale renovation of a rural residential property, managing the project from demolition through structural rebuild and systems installation. I personally performed major portions of the work, including interior demolition, electrical rewiring, plumbing runs, concrete foundation repair, gas line installation, and structural framing modifications. The remodel required careful sequencing of trades, material sourcing, code research, and hands-on execution across multiple disciplines.
While I completed a substantial amount of the technical labor myself, I also coordinated and hired licensed professionals for specialized or time-intensive portions of the project, including select framing work, sewage plumbing tie-ins, and drywall finishing. This required vetting contractors, defining scope, scheduling around dependencies, and ensuring work met both code requirements and long-term design goals.
The project demanded systems thinking and disciplined planning — foundation and structural corrections first, followed by framing adjustments, then utilities (electrical, plumbing, gas), and finally finish work. Managing budget, inspections, and trade coordination without a general contractor strengthened my ability to oversee complex, multi-phase infrastructure projects with accountability and attention to detail.
